Bobcats U8s

Hello and welcome to Boothstown FC girls under 8s – otherwise know as “Boothstown Bobcats”

We started off last March with 4 keen little superstar girls as we tried to build a team for the upcoming season. After a few weeks the team grew, after a few months we soon had a squad of 10 amazing girls!!! 

We made everything about fun and team bonding which the girls absolutely love! Not a week goes by that the girls aren’t smiling, laughing and hugging one another. The commitment they’ve shown to have fun and learn has been an utter joy to watch! 

We eventually joined the league for season 24-25 and the girls have learnt so much from each game. The team bonding has grown every passing game with every player encouraging one another and celebrating even small successes. 

Having the best time ever on the sideline are  coaches Derek Cooper & Mike Sherwin. Derek ran the team on his own with Mike being a brilliant addition lately! The passion, fun, encouragement and support they give the girls can be seen rubbing off on the girls. 

The other amazing thing about the Bobcats is the friendship that has formed with all the parents, who are best mates now and even take part in training when asked! 

The future is very exciting and that’s down to our superstar girls as we head on our amazing football journey together!
